The third project from my Typography class. The point of this project was to create a set of five new letterforms, both uppercase and lowercase. These new letters had to fit the look and size of a typeface we were given at the start of the project, and had to be unique.

All in all, it was a very interesting project, which brought quite a few new aspects into the picture. There's a lot to consider when designing type, and it takes a project like this to really understand that. Aside from this, there were also two specimen sheets, showing all of the existing letters of the alphabet, plus my crafted ones. With these, my new letterforms had to be placed in the same position on both the uppercase and lowercase sheet. They had to be placed somewhere where they wouldn't blatantly stand out as fake.
